LAW 22 - PROCEDURE AFTER THE BIDDING HAS ENDED

A. End of Auction

22A1 When a board is passed in, an unintended pass may be corrected as per Law 25 up to the time when all four hands have been returned to the board.

22A2 is a rather messy way to cater for legal doubles and legal redoubles that might be somewhere between the last bid and the three consecutive passes.

B. End of Auction Period

22B1 The time from the end of the auction to when either defender makes a face up opening lead earns a new term "Clarification Period". Note that a face up lead by the presumed declaring side does not end the auction period and is treated under Law 24.
