Mrs E Robinson
Mrs Robinson, who died at the age of 101, played regularly at the club until she was 98. She continued to play at her home where she was visited by club members. On her 100th birthday she described to me, quite accurately, how her partner on the previous day could have made a small slam which she, Mrs Robinson, had bid. But she did not say anything about it as her friends were “so good tp come and play with her”.
She was an aunt of the Leichney sisters, well-known in Toowoomba and Brisbane Bridge clubs.
