Enid Busch

Enid was a long time partner of the legendary Ivy Dahler. and in this partnership, they represented Australia in the Australian Women’s Team. Enid represented the Darling Downs region at the national level on many occasions. Together, Enid and Ivy played ‘Precision’, but Enid was interested in learning ‘Standard American’ believing that was the future.

In September 1995, she, along with a few others, founded a second bridge club beginning at the hall of St Bart’s Church of England in Rangeville, later to be recognised as the Darling Downs Bridge Club which was to become established at the Toowoomba Showgrounds. It has been said that she was a fastidious, perfect player who bid her hand exactly to her system and imparted her knowledge as a teacher to many players in the Toowoomba region.

She was appointed inaugural Patron and Chief Director of the Darling Downs Bridge Club.
