Bridge connections
- Pat’s mother was a member of the NSW Women’s team and her brother Dick was a renowned international player representing Australia on several occasions, usually playing with Tim Seres.
- She and her husband Ken were part of a committee which formed the Townsville Bridge Club in the early 70’s and were also integral to the building of the club house.
- Pat convened the first Townsville Congress. Both took on the role of President of the TBC at various times until they moved to Canberra.
- Pat was a member of an Australian National Championships ACT Women’s Team (1988), Seniors (1993, 1994, 2005) and served as non-playing captain of the Women’s Team in 1998 and the Seniors’ Team in 1996. She also convened the 1993 ANC in Canberra, held at the Lakeside, a landmark event that included the first Interstate Seniors Teams.
- After Ken retired, they moved to the ‘Renaissance Retirement Village’ and Pat joined the Redland Bridge Club.
- She will be remembered by many as a capable player, generous administrator, and for her achievements and service to bridge.
