Tom Landy
Tom Landy was an active and influential member of QCBC for many years. He passed away on July 26.
He is survived by his wife, Fay, who represented Australia four times. Tom and his partner won the Queensland Open Pairs in 1963 and 1964. They also won the pairs at the Gold Coast Congress, the only Queenslanders to do so until last year. He was a member of the Queensland Open Team for six years. In 1973, he won the Queensland Open Pairs. His cunning at the table earned him the nickname The Fox.
Members who knew him held him in the highest regard.
